Review other sites or products in Alexa, Amazon, eopinion etc. I am sure those places allow you to post a link also lot of people notice those places so it’s good to show your appeal there.
3. You can join your local chambers of commerce or sponsor any education or cultural organization they are happy to provide free links to you.
4. All nonprofit organizations if given a decent donation are happy to link to you; you can try contacting them too.
5. Publish articles in good ezines they are happy to provide links for quality content.
6. Give away freebies on website, free software are always a good attraction and a very good way to build back links to your website. This has not changed for a long time people are always looking for free software. Google blocks access to paid Android apps on developer phones

A special unlocked version of the G1 phone available to developers is unable to run paid Android applications for fear of piracy.

Mobile developers who purchased an unlocked HTC G1 phone from Google discovered this week that they can't run paid applications from the Android Market.

Google is denying those developers access to copy-protected applications sold in the Android Market because developers have a higher level of access to the G1 phone than regular users, and could potentially break the copy protection on those applications, according to IDG News Service. "We aren't distributing copy-protected applications to these phones in order to minimize unauthorized copy of the applications," a Google representative said in a statement sent to CNET.

Developers willing to join the Android developer program for $25 can buy an unlocked G1 handset for $399. That version of the device also apparently allows them access to a special folder where paid applications are stored away from the prying eyes of regular customers who may be interested in breaking the copy-protection on those applications.

For that reason, Google has simply blocked those using the unlocked G1 from downloading paid applications from the Android Market. That didn't sit well with some developers on a thread on Google's Android Forums, who felt Google was unfairly portraying them as pirates while also denying them the ability to download their own paid applications on the Android Market.

It doesn't appear that the ban on paid applications extends to those who have unlocked the retail version of the G1, at least not as of yet.

I Want My GTV! Google Set To Offer Universal Music Videos? :

Aside from technology, music is my biggest passion. Growing up, I spent countless hours watching music videos on MTV. Music videos, which pretty much saw their heyday come and go between 1985 and 1995, are still created by today's artists, though they get less air time on MTV, VH1, and their affiliated networks. That's why MTV launched MTVMusic.com, an online repository of thousands of videos. While that's a great place to go watch some music videos, labels think it would be nice to have other legitimate options.

Enter YouTube.

YouTube long has been a popular place to watch music videos, but many of those posted to the video-sharing site aren't being officially provided or licensed by the artists and their labels. Universal and Google are hoping to change that. Sources cited by The Wall Street Journal indicate that the two are deep in talks about a licensing deal.

The portal would be called Vevo, and the goal is to give both YouTube and Universal an opportunity to make more money from videos. The WSJ reports, "Google doesn't disclose YouTube's revenues but has acknowledged it has been harder to make money off the service than it expected. And the record labels -- worried about giving their content away for virtually nothing -- aren't satisfied with their share... The idea is to better showcase the videos on and off the Web site in a way that appeals to advertisers."

The partnership is far from a done-deal, but it sounds as if both parties need something to fall into place in order to boost revenue. No one was able to confirm if Google is in talks with other music labels and neither Google nor Universal offered official comment on the proposed partnership.

Comment 1:  One of my sites fell from the number 1-3 rankings on my prime keywords in a pretty low competition niche about a month ago. I haven't been able to figure out out why and now when I was looking through my google webmaster tools in the link section I realized that google has stopped adding new links to my list. My last link added was back in early January and since then no new links have been added despite me personally building up at least 20-30 links since then.
Does anyone know what could be going on or possibly has this happened to someone else before.
Also when I search for my links via the google search with link: www.site.com no links show up at all.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

Comment 2: I've been waiting for a refresh of external links myself. In the past couple of months, the WMT External link report seemed to be updating about once-a-week. I've been waiting about 3-4 weeks for an update myself. WMT points to a reporting server, and the information that it displays is certainly not real-time.
On a separate note, the fact that nothing shows up for you with site: www.example.com, is one of 2 things:
1) Google hiccup - this has happened to me before;
2) On a worse note, it could mean that you've been banned from Google for a serious infraction;
Since I've never been banned outright, I'm not qualified to comment on why you are seeing stuff in WMT, but not via the site: command. I would hang in there, until WMT makes its next report on links available, before drawing any conclusions.

Clicking the number of internal or external link in WMT gives "no results found" for all of my sites listed there.....
Should i be worried?
