New at gdgt / October 2009
We've been hard at work on new features here at gdgt -- features users like you have been requesting! And we've got a lot more coming soon, but here's a quick peek into some of the stuff we've been up to.
Friend finder
If you're like us, you use Gmail, Twitter, or Facebook (or all of the above) to keep up with friends. Well now you can use those services to find your friends on gdgt (or invite them if they're not already here). We've got more Twitter and Facebook integration coming really soon.
Head on over to our new friend finding tool and we'll get you connected to your people.
Personalized social feed
If you haven't already used it, be sure to check out your new fully customized, personalized social feed! See what's up with your friends, your gadgets, and things all around the site right from the home page.
Want to see even more of what's going on? Just follow more people and add more gadgets to your lists, it'll immediately begin to appear in your stream. Getting a little too much information? That's no problem either, just hit the customize button and tweak your feed settings, it'll be updated instantly.
So make sure you've added some gadgets, found some friends, and check back on that social feed!
10,000 gadgets and New Category Tuesdays!
Thanks to the enormous efforts of the gdgt community, we're happy to share that as of October there are well over 10,000 products in our database (and growing daily). But don't stop: plunder those archives and closets, and keep helping us plug in gadgets new and old. We want 'em all!
If you've stopped by lately you might have also noticed just how many new categories we've added. We'll be launching more each week, so keep an eye out, New Category Tuesdays are on!
